Employee or Entrepreneur

Employee or Entrepreneur which one are you?

During the credit crunch is the time to take advantage of the economic climate to make your dreams a reality.

Taking responsibility for your own actions is part of the fundamentals of entrepreneurial success.

Good transitions from being an employee to an entrepreneur just don't happen; it's all a matter of clarity, planning and consistent action. Furthermore, the good news is that all efforts made towards the goal does matter and contributes to the final outcome.

In today's credit crunch climate of economic unrest some folk need to make a fresh start, but that doesn't necessarily mean starting all over again just because you were an employee who now finds themselves out of work and out of money. With the correct mindset every action you've ever taken while in employment could be counted towards a fresh start.

There is absolutely no need to feel daunted about your future, whoever you are, whatever your circumstances or age. It's just a matter of making a commitment to yourself to change your circumstances, so please keep reading to find out what I mean and you having your own insight into what it means to drop the hat of employee and become an entrepreneur having success in all that you do.

There really is no need to continue to have the mindset of living from pay cheque to pay cheque. You can have financial security, work satisfaction and a true work life balance. It all begins with having a vision of what you really want in your life from this point on, not from the viewpoint of what has gone before and the circumstances that have led you to today's position, rather of being bold enough to do something about where you are now in your career.

Of course not everyone is suited to being an entrepreneur. Employees are the ones who feel comfortable going to work every day for a boss and being part of an organisation. Of, fitting in with the job scheduling for holidays and time off. That's fine if you enjoy being an employee. However, you could look upon this worldwide financial situation as a positive opportunity for you to realise your life ambitions of working for yourself, being your own boss - a true entrepreneur.

My thoughts and this article are geared to like minded individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit. Is that you?

Entrepreneurism requires characters that naturally have the following qqualities;

  • A clear goal for business ownership
  • A strong level of perseverance
  • An endless desire to achieve
  • A 100% level of discipline
  • A commitment to do what it ethically takes
  • A keen sense of initiative
  • A high level of self-esteem
  • A competitive nature
  • A genuine willingness to learn what you don't know for the greater good
  • A good level of health, both physical and mental
  • A community spirit
  • So if you have the above then you are certainly a perfect candidate for entrepreneurism, welcome to the club.

Being fully committed to your new role as an entrepreneur is fun and exciting, you call the shots.

Keep passionate about your new line of work; believe in your product or service and work smart, there really is no need to work 'hard'. Working hard will come naturally when you are fully prepared to put in the effort on a consistent basis to build your business. The other benefit of working smart is no stress, no worries and no loss of motivation.

Entrepreneurism is a unique opportunity to live life by design. I take my hat off to you as an entrepreneur and look forward to meeting you in the near future.

    Looking forward...PaTrisha-Anne
